As the 267th successor of St. Peter, the “yes” of Pope Leo XIV marks the beginning of a powerful new chapter in the life of the Church—one that renews our hope and reminds us of Christ’s enduring promise:

“I am with you always” (Mt 28:20).

Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to Your shepherd, Pope Leo XIV, a spirit of courage and right judgment, a spirit of knowledge and love.  By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care, may he, as successor to the Apostle Peter and Vicar of Christ, build Your Church into a sacrament of unity, love, and peace for all the world.

Lord, preserve Pope Leo XIV, give him a long life, make him blessed upon the earth, and protect him from his enemies.  May Your hand be upon Your holy servant, Your son, whom you have anointed.
